LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:

We were looking for a famous 1960s movie hinted at by this puzzle’s theme, and our theme entries were:

17-A [More than just glimpse] = GET AN OVERVIEW OF. That’s a legit phrase, but its meaning is a bit removed from “more than just glimpse.”

25-A [Tested the authority figure’s patience] = WAS A CHALLENGE. Perhaps this one’s not a 100% legit phrase, but it makes sense.

45-A [“Amen!”] = YOU SAID A TRUTH. Definitely not a real phrase, though its syntax is fine.

59-A [Seriously scolding] = GIVING AN OBLOQUY. Clearly not a real phrase! Though again, its syntax is good.

What’s going on? Each of those is a little off, but can be righted by replacing a key word with a [body part + FUL] construction. So “More than just glimpse” accurately clues “Get an eyeful of,” And “Tested the authority figure’s patience” is a good clue for “Was a handful.” Similarly, “Amen!” = “You said a mouthful,” and “Seriously scolding” is “Giving an earful.”

What movie fits the pattern? The 1964 Clint Eastwood classic A FISTFUL OF DOLLARS, found by 121 solvers.

So that’s what, like five bucks?
