LAST WEEK’S RESULTS:
Title: “A Little Off”
Prompt: This week’s contest answer is a five-letter word.
Answer: YAHOO
Correct entries: 479, of which 432 were solo solves
Hardly a Week 5, but with ACPT weekend happening and an amusing concept I didn’t receive many complaints. Idea was simple: in order to clue the entry in the grid, you had to change one letter in each clue. For example, [Bugle hall] at 1-A only made sense for answer TAPS if you changed its “h” to a “c,” yielding [Bugle call].
When all the changed were made, the first letters of the clues spelled out the message:CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE SOLVED THIS WEEK’S META. THE CONTEST ANSWER IS “YAHOO!” All that punctuation added for clarity. Forgive me if I don’t type out the other 63; Gridmaster J did in the graphic at right, though.

Really enjoyed this one. Felt like it came from an old GAMES magazine.

THIS WEEK’S INSTRUCTIONS:
This week’s contest answer is a 19-letter phrase that could be MGWCC’s motto.
Solve well, and be not led astray by words intended to deceive.
