Dear MGWCC Solver,

MGWCC #556 will run tomorrow, Jan. 26th, at noon ET instead of today. What happened was: I spent eight hours this week on a nice week 4 meta that didn’t wind up working out because there is no synonym for “Hurry up!” that’s five letters long and ends with R. When the crossword gods do not approve of an idea there is little we mortals can do. Believe me, I tried.

Anyway, I have another idea but it won’t be ready today. So try the great Mike Shenk’s WSJ meta today instead of mine, and I’ll be back here at noon tomorrow with #556.
